BestBid Realty is the first Illinois online full service real estate brokerage to offer as much as 70% Refund to its buyers. 

In August 2006, Harvey Schaffner, founder came up with the idea of refunding money back to his clients.  He began talking about the state of the real estate industry and how real estate brokerages needed to change and evolve to better reflect the demands and expectations of consumers.  The internet had become a significant tool in the lives of most people and technology was now available to streamline the real estate transaction.

Just like the stock brokerage and travel industry has change since the internet so will the residential real estate industry.  Harvey believed that many consumers would prefer to be in control of the home searching process rather then having a real estate agent choose their properties for them.

That is how BestBid Realty was born.
